I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has already reached the point where stars are now being thrown back into the real world.

In tonight’s episode, the first elimination took place and it was Jane Moore who was packing her bags.

Presenter Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced that she’d received the fewest public votes, and the Loose Women had a six-word response to the news. ‘Hard work does not get rewarded,’ she said while hugging her fellow celebrities goodbye.

Although, she had to be the first to leave, the 62-year-old was still in a celebratory mood and quickly explained why – she didn’t have to do the washing up any more. Jane summarised her whole experience as a ‘weird and magical’ time.

In her exit interview, Ant and Dec asked Jane about her main disagreement in camp.

When Danny Jones and Barry McGuigan had to assign chores and they chose Jane to clean the cutlery and trays. She branded the decision ‘sexist’ and ‘ageist’. She pointed out that they’d chosen all women for these types of roles. When questioned on her stance, Jane said she still feels that way.

As is tradition, Ant and Dec, both 49, asked Jane to share who she’d like to win. She chose Coleen Rooney and Melvin Odoom, as she wants a hard worker to take the title.

‘They keep everything going. They are not flamboyant, but they get it done,’ she stated.

After the short chat, Jane walked along the bridge and was reunited with her daughter Grace. The two embraced in a big hug.

Some viewers were shocked to see Jane go, and Dean McCullough, 32, stay in the camp. The Radio 1 DJ was told last that he’d be safe.

‘Oh FFS how the hell has Houdeani survived. I’m actually raging,’ wrote Mia B on X.

DJDaley said he was ‘gutted’ to see a ‘great and pleasant campmate’ leave first.

Mahnaz Siddiqui weighed in: ‘Oh that’s a shame. I thought Jane would be safe with votes. She was great yes a great questioner. Just got on with things. Don’t think she would have been voted off.’ Mel echoed with: ‘Gutted she’s gone first I thought she was really good.’

Now, the remaining 11 campmates will continue to battle it out to become the King or Queen of the jungle.

Elsewhere in the show, Oti Mabuse, 34, and Melvin, 44 faced their first Bushtucker trail. The pair volunteered themselves as they are yet to undertake one, and the power has now been put in the campmates’ hands, rather than the public.

They won all 12 stars during Tanks of Tortures, which required them to get inside a giant water tank and move the stars along a wire and into a bag. Naturally, they weren’t alone – instead Oti and Melvin were joined by mud crabs, eels, crocodiles, water dragons, spiders and snakes.

This meant that their final supper as a full group was a big one. After eating, the stars felt reflective and all expressed gratitude for their experience together.

The group also further opened up to each other in heartfelt conversations. Coleen, 38, who has sons Kai, 15, Klay, 11, and Kit, eight and six-year-old Cass with husband Wayne Rooney, 39, spoke about whether she’d have liked to have a daughter.

‘I would’ve liked a girl for Wayne, I wasn’t desperate, he would’ve liked a girl, I wasn’t bothered either way,’ she said.

She went on to explain: ‘I’ve had two miscarriages and I don’t know whether that has been girls, you know sometimes they say you can’t carry a certain sex, but they don’t investigate until you have your third one.’

Coleen told Oti and GK Barry, 25, how she had her first miscarriage before she had any children, with the second miscarriage coming before she had Kit and Cass.

‘When I had the first one I was really scared…but then once I had a child, it took that away, I went on to have another one. It’s not a nice feeling for anyone, it’s horrible but knowing that I could conceive and have the child, that made me feel better.’

Speaking of Wayne, she said: ‘I feel for the men in this situation…Wayne really felt it the first time round and it wasn’t until later on that I thought, ‘Do you know what, everyone’s fussing around me, but not him and he had to just get up and go to work as normal’, it’s quite hard.’

Oti agreed: ‘It’s such a precious time but a scary time as well.’

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1, STV and ITVX.
